Thank you for any help. That "CT" is probably truly a "CR" series as shown in your link. If you don't have a true serial port, look into search the Keyspan adapter. Windows is famous for assigning a completely new port number to connected USB-serial devices.
I was wondering if anyone can help with a couple of things. I bought an adapter but couldn't find the Keyspan brand and the one i bought didn't work so be sure crreation get one that people have had success with assuming you can find the serial port on your machine to even use. Marthin June 11th, By messing around and changing USB port and plugging the USB cable in and out while the cutter is on sometimes solves the problem and the cutter gets recognised as it should and it gets assigned a com port as it should.

Cutterr Created on June creattion, I am trying very long time to set it up with USB cable, sometimes it work for couple of hours and stop working wor weeks…now I bought USB-Serial cable and it work perfectly …THe biggest problem was: But so far so good few little glitches but it's not a bad entry level cutter once you get to grips with it.
I have a pcut ct when i go to cut it is saying cannot open the output device error initializing cutter any ideas plz. Craetion in advance for any help.
